Privacy Policy

Overview

VisualText ("we", "us") turns text and documents into diagrams with AI. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Data we collect

Account information. When you sign up with email or Google, we store your email address, nickname and avatar. With Google sign-in we receive basic profile data from Google.

Content you provide. Text you paste, documents you upload (DOCX, PDF, TXT) and the diagrams generated from them are stored in your account so you can edit, export and share them.

Usage data. We use PostHog to collect product analytics such as page views and feature usage, to understand how the product is used and improve it.

Billing data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe provides us with the transaction result and your billing email.

How we use your data

To provide the service: generating diagrams from your text, storing your works, and keeping your credits and subscription status in sync.

To generate diagrams, the text you submit is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI processes it on our behalf and does not use API data to train its models.

To communicate with you about your account and important service changes, and to analyze aggregated usage to improve VisualText.

Third-party processors

We rely on: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), OpenAI (AI diagram generation), Stripe (payments), PostHog (product analytics) and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only as needed to provide its service to us.

Data retention and deletion

Your works are kept until you delete them. Deleted works are no longer visible to you or to anyone holding a share link.

To delete your account and associated data, email support@genpollar.com and we will process your request within a reasonable timeframe.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, as well as an export of your content, by emailing us. We respond within 30 days.

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), row-level access control in our database, and restricted internal access to production data. No transmission method is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

Children

VisualText is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the product.
